Last Week, the City of Dallas Small Business(SBC) participated in the 2023 National Community Development Week.
On Monday, April 11th, we had the opportunity to have our own informational booth at City Hall alongside other departments. Residents and City Employees had the opportunities to learn more about what SBC does! SBC provides an array of services for Dallas residents. Aside from assisting small business owners, SBC also helps with MWBE Contract Evaluations, Compliance, Outreach, and has Employment/Workforce Assistance, and FreshStart Program Resources.
On Tuesday April 11th, SBC also participated in the Community Development onsite visit to Oak Cliff Empowerment Inc.
Oak Cliff Works: Run by the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce, this program helps unemployed or underemployed residents purse a career in healthcare. Oak Cliff Works receives funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through the City of Dallas under the SBC Workforce Development Initiative.
