Last Week, many Per Scholas students celebrated their graduation from their programs in the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library. Per Scholas is a nonprofit organization in the United States that offers tuition-free technology training and professional development to underserved communities. With a mission to bridge the digital divide, the organization empowers individuals from diverse backgrounds with essential technical skills and job readiness to pursue rewarding careers in the tech industry. Through partnerships with leading employers, Per Scholas ensures its courses align with industry demands, providing training in IT support, software development, cybersecurity, data engineering, and more. By fostering a supportive learning environment and emphasizing both technical and soft skills, Per Scholas aims to create pathways to success for its graduates in the rapidly evolving world of technology. 

Iajan Wyatt, a 2023 IT Support Graduate, enthusiastically expressed his optimism for the future during a conversation with SBC Staff. He attributed his bright prospects to the Per Scholas Program, which has provided him with valuable opportunities and networking connections that he deeply appreciates.
