On Wednesday, May 10, the Small Business Center (SBC) hosted The Mentor Protégé Program Networking Event to inform interested participants about the program, sign-up participants, and business networking at the Latino Cultural Center. The MPP intends to connect experienced business professionals with Minority and Women Business Enterprises (M/WBE) and local small businesses. The City of Dallas has a strong interest in aiding small businesses through mentorship matchmaking
Attendees were able to network with one another and learn about various types of business fields. Jesse Saldana, Business Inclusion and Development Program Administrator, gave more information about the vision and mission of MPP and the goals SBC has for the program in the next few years. Joyce Williams, Small Business Director, gave an entrepreneurship talk and encouraged attendees to sign up for the program. The event also held a Q&A Session where attendees addressed any questions about the newly launched program.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our launching on the Mentor/Protégé (MPP) program! We had an amazing turn out of 50 attendees and program sign ups and look forwards to seeing everyone soon!
