Business Foundation Series

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, February 7th at 5:00 pm which marks the first course of the 5 class Business Foundation Series at J. Erik Jonsson Public Library. The first class focuses on your proof of concept.

Learn about the resources available for a small business to establish a sturdy foundation to withstand the challenges of starting a new business. Come to the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library at 1515 Young Street with an idea and complete the 5 class program 10 weeks later with a well thought-out business model, marketing strategy, financial statements and legal structuring. At that point, we can connect you to one or our Resource Partners that can further assist you with the next step of your entrepreneurship journey.

The Dallas B.R.A.I.N. is a unique interdepartmental program with the Office of Economic Development and the Dallas Public Library with the purpose of connecting entrepreneurs with the resources to start, run and grow a small business. If you want a fundamental understanding of the framework needed for becoming an entrepreneur here in Big D we invite you to join the Business Foundation Series. Every other week, a 2-hour class will examine different aspects of business planning and development so that you will be prepared to clearly present yourself and your business to potential mentors, investors or future employees interested in being a part of your future business.

Tuesday, February 7th at 5:00 – 7:00 pm on the 5th floor in the Hamon Conference Room the Dallas B.R.A.I.N. will be focus on how to understand and evaluate your business concept.  Learn about tools and techniques to transform your idea into a business concept capable of transforming into a small business.
