The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will host a webinar highlighting the digital divide in south Texas and raise awareness of the impact limited connectivity has on all areas of the State. The webinar will describe the digital divide and its impact on disconnected urban and rural communities. The presenters will speak on partnership opportunities within the communities in order to increase connectivity for consumers and small businesses. The webinar will conclude with an overview of how efforts have changed due to the pandemic and opportunities for banks, community based organizations and other stakeholders to make a difference.
