On April 06, 2023 FreshStart(FS) hosted an Employment Second Chance Hiring Event at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library. FreshStart Program participants were able to have same day interviews and some even had some day offers! People were able to interview and get hired for storekeeper, sanitation truck driver, laborer, and more! The City of Dallas Onboarding Team was also present to help FS participants complete their onboarding paperwork once hired.

The Small Business Center – FreshStart Employment Program, is aimed at ensuring that current, unemployed, underemployed, seasonally employed, and temporarily employed individuals with criminal backgrounds, have the opportunity to obtain full-time employment within the City of Dallas and receive the support needed to maintain and thrive in the workforce.
